SCHOOL HAPPENINGS
Pencil Perfect!
Our Drawing 1 students have been learning the fundamentals of observational drawing by setting up and sketching still lifes from direct observation. They are practicing sighting and measuring techniques to accurately capture proportion and placement, while refining their ability to see and draw shapes, angles, and relationships. Students are also exploring shading and value using charcoal to create depth and realism in their work. These foundational skills are helping them build confidence and precision as artists.
Titan Spirit!
Champions are made when no one is watching! These photos capture the dedication of our cheerleading team during their after-school practice sessions. From conditioning to choreography, the squad is committed to making this season our best one yet. Everyone is proud of their hard work and discipline.

There is also a fundraiser at Chipotle on Dec 15th. See flyers below for more info on these events to support the Titan Band purchase music stands, sheet music, and various instrument repairs.
Musical Theater Production
Odyssey's Musical Theater students put on 3 fabulous performances of "Class of '89" on Fri Nov 14th and Sat Nov 15th.
The Class of 89 is a comedy drama where, during the high school reunion of 89, a group of Allums look back on their high school years and tell a story of drama, love, and humor.
Great job to all of the talented students who made this production possible through their hard work and commitment to the arts!
GATEway and AVID Trip
Titan scholars in grades 7-12 toured two exceptional schools in Gainesville Nov 18th. At Sante Fe state college, students saw many hands on medical programs preparing students for patient facing and behind the scenes medical careers in nursing, dentistry, radiology. They also offer many certification programs training first responders like law enforcement, and EMS. The next stop on the tour was UF. We were honored to meet up with two Odyssey scholars from the 2022 graduating class for a few minutes during lunch. We saw what student life is like, walking the crowded sidewalks, seeing students gathering for clubs and other activities. Our student guides walked us near landmarks sharing things that make UF one of the top universities in the nation. Look for lots of orange and blue on college shirts worn by GATEway and AVID students on Wednesdays.
Gardening Fundraiser
This year, we are once again excited to share our organic farming and gardening fundraiser, Seed Money, which serves all three schools. Our organic farming and gardening initiatives offer opportunities for our students to connect with nature, engage in hands-on learning, and develop a deeper understanding of science—right in our very own gardens. During this holiday season, we ask that you consider a gift that will keep on giving: the gift of learning, growth, and a healthy future. Thank you for your generosity and support. Donation link is HERE.
