February's Florida Resiliency Character Trait is GRIT
This month, our focus turns to Grit, a cornerstone of Florida’s Resiliency initiative. Grit is defined as passion and perseverance toward long-term goals—it is the inner strength to keep going even when things get difficult. By cultivating this trait, we encourage our students to view challenges not as roadblocks, but as opportunities to grow, proving that success is often a marathon, not a sprint.

SENIOR SPOTLIGHTS
Brenda Guerrero-Parra
Brenda Guerrero-Parra is a vibrant presence on campus who has been a part of our school community for eleven years. An avid volleyball player, she thrives on the energy of the court and the excitement of Spirit Week, which she cites as her favorite school tradition.
Brenda finds daily inspiration in Ms. Mitchell’s classroom, appreciating her teacher's supportive nature and the freedom she gives students to truly follow their passions. When she isn't studying or practicing, Brenda values the time she spends with her friends, who make her school experience meaningful. Looking ahead, Brenda has a clear vision for her future: she plans to attend a two-year community college before transferring to a university to complete her degree.
Jadah Senecharles
In her two years on campus, Jadah Senecharles has become known for her effortless sense of style and her ability to elevate any outfit. A fan of the energy during Spirit Week, Jadah also finds value in the classroom of Ms. Mullins, whom she appreciates for her clear explanations and for making early morning lessons genuinely engaging.
Jadah credits her positive school experience to the strong bonds she has formed with both students and staff. She has ambitious goals for the future, planning to pursue a career as a CRNA before transitioning into entrepreneurship.
Alisha Ahmed
Alisha Ahmed has been going to Odyssey since Kindergarten. Because of her long history on campus, Alisha deeply values the nostalgia of growing up within these halls. When she isn't in class, she can often be found in the kitchen, as she loves to cook and bake in her free time.
Alisha highlights Mr. Gelinas as a standout mentor, appreciating his humor and the guidance he provides. As she looks toward graduation, she is excited to transition into college and the workforce, eager to get out and explore more of the world.

Illustrating Success: A Perfect Pass Rate
The Titan Commercial Art 2 class achieved a 100% pass rate on their recent industry certification exams. All 12 students who tested earned their Adobe Certified Professional in Visual Design using Adobe Illustrator certification. A massive congratulations to Enzo Bonarrigo, who not only passed but achieved the highest score! We are incredibly proud of these talented designers.
STEAM Expo - Rising 6th Graders
Future students and their families packed the Odyssey gymnasium this week for an energetic STEAM Expo designed to showcase the unique spirit of our campus. Rising 6th graders explored a diverse array of interactive displays, ranging from the technical wonders of robotics, science, and gaming to the creative talents of our orchestra, fine art, and commercial art programs, and even our hands-on farming projects. It was an inspiring evening that gave these future students a first-hand look at the incredible opportunities awaiting them at Odyssey.
Technology - Then and Now
The Technology Then & Now project was a remarkable achievement by the students, showcasing their ability to bridge historical perspectives with modern innovation. Through detailed research and creative presentations, they highlighted the evolution of technology from its early beginnings to today’s advanced systems. The project not only demonstrated their technical understanding but also emphasized critical thinking and collaboration. By comparing past inventions with current advancements, the students provided valuable insights into how technological progress shapes society, making this initiative both educational and inspiring.

Nacho Average Students Deserve Nacho Average Rewards!
We recently celebrated some truly Nacho Average Students with a special Nacho Fest from Moe’s Southwest Grill and the smiles were as big as the plates! Students who raised their GPA were invited to this celebration as recognition of their hard work, perseverance, and commitment to growth. More than just a meal, the event sent a powerful message: improvement counts, and every step forward is worth cheering. We are so proud of our students for leveling up academically and showing that they are, without question, Nacho Average.
