Cultivating Knowledge: Green Thumbs Emerge in Farming Class
Our Titan farming class students have wasted no time getting their hands dirty and minds engaged. Their dedication is already evident as they prepare the soil and learn the foundational steps of sustainable agriculture, understanding everything from soil composition and irrigation to seed identification and crop rotation, all while cultivating valuable knowledge and a deep appreciation for where our food comes from.
Unleashing Creativity: Commercial Art Students Design for the Real World
Students in Commercial Art 1 classes are enjoying our brand new Mac comptuer lab! They are currently creating digital collages in Photoshop to learn some beginning skills that will lead them up to working on our Titan yearbook in a few months.
Speaking of our yearbook – if you have any photos or stories that you'd like to suggest for the yearbook, please email Mrs. Oakes or stop by room 242. (oakesj@odysseycharterschool.com)
Making Sense of Surface Tension in AP Biology
These AP Biology students gained hands-on experience with scientific concepts while discovering just how many drops of water can balance on a single penny. The purpose of the "Penny Lab" was to investigate the surface tension of water and the forces that allow it to form a dome shape on the coin's surface. It was a small coin but a big lesson in the power of molecular forces.
