Dear Odyssey Charter School Students and Families,
As we close the 2024-2025 school year, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to our students, staff, families, and community partners for making this an amazing year at the Jr/Sr High. Coming into the year, one of our primary goals was to create an environment that focuses on equipping students with the skills and experience necessary for college and career readiness. We have achieved this by doubling the number of Dual Enrollment students, expanding our Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, increasing our Advanced Placement (AP) course offerings, and providing students with real-life experience, such as the Tech Expo, College and Career Fair, and eight college field trips. While increasing participation in these programs, we have still allowed students to discover their passions through our award-winning fine arts program, one-of-a-kind Odyssey Farm, and our developing athletics department.
I am proud that we have navigated challenges together, embraced new opportunities, and celebrated numerous achievements. Again, I thank all of you for your support. I am excited for what lies ahead at the Jr/Sr High, as we continue to grow and learn as a community. We hope you enjoy a well-deserved summer break and thank you for being part of the Odyssey family. I look forward to welcoming you back for an even more amazing 2025-2026 school year!
Sincerely,
Michael Davis, Principal

CLASS OF 2025 - SENIOR SPOTLIGHTS
Alaina Waite
Alaina has attended Odyssey for 3 years. She knows how to make the best out of every situation and has the ability to brighten the whole room and everybody in it. She loves to make jokes and put a smile on faces. Her favorite teacher is Ms. Lewis. She will miss the gym the most because it is nice and she loved playing volleyball there. Her plans are to attend University of North Florida and major in criminal justice and then get into University of Florida Levin Law School. Alaina's favorite memory was senior skip day!
Joshua Ellis
Joshua has attended Odyssey for 5 years. He loves to drive. His favorite teacher was Ms. Jerina and he enjoyed the band program, his friends, and some of the teachers while being an Odyssey student. He plans on going to EFSC to get his A.A. in computer science, then transfer to FIT to get his bachelor's degree so he can work towards becoming a computer programmer. His favrorite memory was the band trip.
Jorge Narvaez
Jorge has been attending Odyssey for over 11 years. He is currently practicing the otamatone. He has several favorite teachers but prefers to keep that anonymous. He will miss a lot of the teachers, as well as being able to see friends easily. Jorge plans to go to school for animation and computer graphics. His favorite senior memory was Ms. Widmer's victorian tea party.
Jiovani Taylor
Jiovani has been attending Odyssey since kindergarten. He is a musician and learns new instruments often. His favorite teachers are Mr. Stout and Mrs. Kevelin for teaching him his love for music. He will miss the class of 2025 and the people he has met during his 13 years at Odyssey. Jio plans to attend Full Sail and graduate with a bachelor's in show production and then travel the world. His favorite memory this year was winning Homecoming King.
Evan Teixeira
Evan has attended Odyssey since since 4th grade. He is a massive Marvel fan and loves rap music, movies, mangoes, and video games. He is currently dual enrolled at EFSC. Evan has been involved with the E-sports club and the varsity soccer team. His favorite teacher is Ms. Irving because she helped him find his strength in math. She also cares about him as a human being, and for that he is truly thankful for her. He will miss friendships that left him unforgettable experiences, the chill days in math class, and the student holidays. The journey of meeting new people and overcoming challenges has helped him find enjoyment. He is truly grateful for all his friends for their support. After graduation, Evan plans on working, enjoying the beach, and preparing for his future. He will attend EFSC in the fall to get his A.A. degree and then transfer to the UCF to major in architecture. His favorite memories are Prom, Grad Bash, and varsity soccer. Joining the varsity soccer team helped him form special bonds and taught him how to keep his head up with confidence. He never really cared about the wins and losses because it was one of the greatest experiences he's ever had.
Lens Escarment
Lens has attended Odyssey for 4 years. Two interesting facts about him is that he has visited more countries than states and he shares the same birthday as Mario Andretti. His favorite teacher is Ms. Hamzeh since she's very funny and a great person. He also loved a former teacher, Dr. Grimaldi, since he fostered students to have a greater input as a person within the class and properly exercise your ability to think. Lens will certainly miss his friends the most since they made high school easier and some classes more tolerable. He will also miss Mrs. Amanda. He plans to attend to FIT for a Mechanical Engineering degree. After school he hopes to work in motorsports as an engineer, and use his degree to be able to start racing for fun. His favorite memory of senior year was 4th period, not specifically a certain day, but the period as a whole.
If you are a senior and did not get a spotlight here it is because you did not do the senior survey on time.
We will try to add yours if you fill it out HERE.
