SCHOOL HAPPENINGS
College and Career Fair
Odyssey Charter School hosted a College & Career Fair, giving students the opportunity to explore options for life after high school. Students connected with representatives from colleges, universities, businesses, and community organizations to learn more about higher education, career pathways, training programs, and future opportunities.
The event gave students a chance to ask questions, make connections, and begin thinking about the many paths available to them as they plan for their futures.
A Creative Twist on Color Theory
Painting 1 students are putting a creative spin on traditional color theory with their Anti-Color Wheel paintings! Using overlapping hands and personal symbols, students are learning to mix colors. This project turns color theory into a fun, personal work of art while building students’ acrylic painting and color-mixing skills.
Volleyball Victory!
Congratulations to our Varsity Volleyball Team for winning the Sunshine State Championship on Saturday Oct 3rd. Great job Titans!!
"Paradise at Risk" Showcase
Protecting Our Planet, One Student at a Time!
Thursday Oct 8th, Odyssey Charter School students showcased their research projects on global warming and its impact on our planet and Florida’s beautiful beaches!
Families, fellow students, and community members came together to explore important environmental issues, ask questions, and learn how we can all make a difference.
We are so proud of our students for sharing their knowledge, raising awareness, and inspiring others to take action!
Together, we can help protect our paradise!
Commercial Art Contest
Our Commercial Art students spent the past two weeks turning trash into animation! Using dried-up markers, broken crayons, and other discarded materials, students created pizza toppings, placed each piece one at a time, photographed every step, and combined hundreds of images to create their stop-motion animations.
Periods 1–3 competed for the winning video, and 2nd Period took the top spot with the most votes!
A big thank-you to Mr. Brian at Ambitious Events (www.ambitiousevents.net) for providing gift cards for the winning team!
